ACADEMY OF MASONIC KNOWLEDGE
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2008
FREEMASONS CULTURAL CENTER
ELIZABETHTOWN, PA
The Fall session of the Academy of Masonic Knowledge will be held on Saturday, October 11th, 2008 in the Deike Auditorium of the Masonic Cultural Center on the campus of Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Registration will open at 8:30 AM with the program beginning at 9:30 AM. A free lunch will be served at noon and the program will be completed by 3:00 PM. All Masons are welcome to attend. Dress is coat and tie. Twice a year the Academy meets at Elizabethtown, at which time two of the world's best scholars usually address the meeting on a Masonic subject in their field of expertise. The Academy meetings are open to ANY Master Mason who wishes to attend. Through the Spring of 2008, more than 29 of these scholars have addressed our meetings, on many diverse Masonic subjects, some of an historic nature with others of present-day relevance. We encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn from the great Masonic minds in today's world. At the request of the Right Worshipful Grand Master, this meeting will be directed to educating newly raised Master Masons along with all members of the Academy. It will be styled similarly to the one that was conducted several years ago following the one-day classes. Although this style of meeting falls outside the mission of the Academy, it proved so successful and received such glowing responses, the Grand Master feels it would be a benefit to present it again. The great objective in Freemasonry is to gain useful knowledge, and the Academy provides a great opportunity for the Brethren to learn and to understand more about the significance of the Craft. Plan to attend and bring a Brother or two along with you. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register simply E-mail Brother Jim Standish with your name, address, Lodge number, telephone number, and e-mail address. |
